Does the City provide flood insurance for its residents?
No. However the City participates in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Community Rating System (CRS). It is a voluntary incentive program that recognizes and encourages community floodplain management activities that exceed the minimum NFIP requirements. As a resident of a community with a CRS rating of 6, you should automatically receive a 10% or 15% discount on your flood insurance premium. Confirm with your insurance agent that you are receiving this discount.
