Broward's Back to School Community Extravaganza

Come out and join the fun at Broward's Back to School Community Extravaganza tomorrow, August 4th from 10AM- 2PM at Hallandale High School. Each child present will receive one backpack filled with school supplies, reading books, a pair of shoes, and other goodies. WHILE SUPPLIES LAST! Those who attend will also have the opportunity to sign up for Florida kidcare/free and reduced lunch. Doors close promptly at 2:00pm.

Town Hall Meeting w/ Mayor Keith London

Mayor Keith London invites you to join him for his next Town Hall meeting on
Tuesday, August 7th from 6-9PM at the Cultural Community Center. This is a great opportunity to discuss important issues impacting Hallandale Beach's neighborhoods, ask questions, address concerns and make your voices heard. Meetings are opened to the public and will be joined by a number of elected officials, policy makers and community leaders.

Light refreshments will be served.

Back 2 School Bash

Join us for the annual Back 2 School Bash on Friday, August 10th from 6-9PM at Foster Park. There will be games, a live band, local vendors, free haircuts and more! We will be giving away backpacks and school supplies! The Open Streets Bike Safety and Health Fair will be back as well! Don't miss out on this FREE event!

HB Budget Workshop

The City Commission will be considering major changes to how the City collects and disposes of solid waste for multifamily, single family, commercial and recycling customers. In addition, the City Commission will be considering merging the Fire Department and the Police Department with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office for Fiscal Year 2018-2019.
The details on upcoming changes will be discussed at the August 13th budget workshop at 12:30 PM in the City Commission Chambers of City Hall.

There will be a Joint Commission Meeting on Monday, August 13th from 12:30-2 PM, and the next Commission Meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 15th from 6-8:30 PM at City Hall. Save the date for the following Public Input Meetings taking place on Thursday, September 20th from 6-9PM at the Cultural Community Center. As well as Tuesday, September 25th from 6-9PM at OB Johnson Park.
