PAL Inaugural Volleyball Tournament
Join the City of Hallandale Beach Parks and Recreation Department and PAL of Hallandale Beach this Saturday, June 9th at the beautiful OB Johnson Gymnasium from 8AM-8PM as they host the first ever Girls Volleyball Tournament. The Round Robin Tournament will feature teams from Dade and Broward County. There will be a $5 entrance fee for those ages 12 & Up. Concessions will be available for sale throughout the day.

Notice of Community MeetingYou are invited to attend our community meeting on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 6PM to learn more about the Hallandale Beach Academy project development at 700 Old Federal Highway. The meeting will take place in the Hallandale Beach Cultural Center, Room 107.

Afro Caribbean Festival Come out and celebrate the Afro Caribbean Fest! On June 15 it will be held from 6pm-8pm at Foster Park Community Center Micro-Library where there will be a healthy family storytime. Enjoy an evening filled with music, healthy food demo by FLIPANY (Florida Introduces Physical Activity and Nutrition to Youth) and featuring an interactive storytelling journey with Lucrèce Louisdhon-Louinis.
On June 16 the Fest will be held at the Hallandale Beach Branch Library from 2pm-6pm. There will be food trucks, bands, storytelling contests and a story slam. All events are free and open to the public!

UPDATE: Mini Grant Funding Opportunity Please be advised that the deadline for the Mini Grant Application for fiscal year 2018-2019 has been extended. The new deadline for submittal will be Friday, June 15, 2018, no later than 4:00 p.m.
The reason for this directive is that staff has found inconsistencies between the official announcement of grant funding and the Grant Guidelines. Please note the following: - A MANDATORY Pre-Application Workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Austin Hepburn Center.
- Providers who attended the Wednesday, May 9, 2018, Pre-Application Workshop do not have to attend the second Pre-Application Workshop.
- Grant applications previously received by the Procurement Department for the Thursday, May 31, 2018, Deadline need to be picked up by the Provider from the Procurement Department no later than Monday, June 4, 2018.
- Providers will need to submit the grant application to the Procurement Department on the new deadline date which on Friday, June 15, 2018, no later than 4:00 p.m. (Early submissions will not be accepted)
