Public Beach Sea Turtle Season and Sargassum 

Dear Hallandale Beach Resident, 

Please view the letter to beachfront property owners about using the beach, sea turtle season, and seaweed (sargassum) cleanup.

We advise all residents and visitors to observe the following to help keep the beaches clean:

• During clean-up, stay clear and do not block beach cleaning equipment. 
• Do not place Sargassum in trash receptacles. 
• Avoid touching or swimming near seaweed to prevent stinging or irritation by organisms that live in it. 
• Always supervise children at the beach.
