FPL is scheduled to replace some Utility Poles along Diplomat Parkway (between Atlantic Shores Blvd and Wiley Street). The duration of the project is approximately four (4) weeks (03/06/23 thru 03/31/23). As a result, a section of Diplomat Parkway (North of Atlantic Shores Blvd) will be temporarily closed daily for the replacement of the utility poles. Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) signs will be in place to assist in the flow of traffic. Assistance will always be provided for local traffic.

The replacement of the utility poles will commence on 03/06/23 and will be completed on 03/31/23. The road closure will be in effect on Monday thru Friday between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Whenever a project of this nature occurs, there is a degree of temporary inconvenience to the affected Residents. We will make every effort to minimize them.

Hallandale Beach Sea Turtle Season

SEA TURTLE SEASON

Sea Turtle Nesting Season is from March 1st through October 31st each year.  Our beach is the desired nesting habitat for three species of endangered sea turtles: leatherbacks, loggerheads, and greens.

During Sea Turtle Nesting Season, turtle-friendly lighting is required beachside to minimize disorientation and make Hallandale Beach more hospitable to these endangered species.  Each morning, County crews check for new nests.  Identified nests are documented and secured to help ensure the Sea Turtle's well-being.

Our beach cleaning crew waits for the all-clear before accessing the beach for dragging and trash removal each morning.  We appreciate your patience as we work to clear the beach.

Everyone must do their part to ensure future successful nesting seasons on Hallandale Beach.

Historic Village Hallandale Beach

Historic Village Groundbreak

The Historic Village, home to the Curci House, has been part of the Hallandale Beach community since the early 1920s. The Historic Village is part of the Hallandale Beach City Wide Parks Master Plan, adopted on March 12, 2012, and is the eleventh (11th) Park to break ground.  With one (1) more park to go, we are well on our way to reaching our goal of completing all the City Wide Parks Master Plan projects.

To help us reach that goal, Hallandale Beach Voters approved, by an overwhelming majority (65%), to issue of $58.5 million General Obligation Bonds (GO Bonds) on the November 4, 2014, ballot.  The Historic Village is the sixth GO Bonds park project to break ground and we couldn’t be prouder!

We are especially proud as this is the second park project to break ground in the City’s 95th birthday year (Sunrise Park was the first).  So much has changed in the City’s 95-year history and we are very proud to maintain our rich history with these improvements and ensure the Historic Village will be an integral part of our history moving forward.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the start of another great park project!

Hallandale Beach Little Library

Little Free Library

Our first Little Free Library was installed at Ingalls Park and we couldn’t be more excited.  Built and donated by Jack and Mason Furman, the library is stocked and full of books, ready for sharing. Jack and Mason are passionate about getting books to our children and plan to help keep the library stocked.  They have already ordered another kit and plan to build our second little free library soon!

Take a Book, Share a Book today!

Jack and Mason were honored with a proclamation from the City Commission for their contributions to our Parks.  Thank you to these amazing brothers!
