*New Emergency Order* Broward County Administrator Bertha Henry issued Emergency Order 20-27, which clarifies requirements for establishments that serve food and alcohol including:
- On-premise consumption must end at 11pm
- 6' must be maintained between tables and no more than 6 people at a table.
- Establishments that only serve alcohol must operate at no more than 50% of indoor capacity
The order also allows individuals at fitness centers and gyms to remove facial coverings while working out. And updates emergency order attachments outlining requirements.

Multi-Family Housing Homeowner Association amenity restrictions are relaxed related to recreation amenities, common areas, and guests.

Flood Watch Issued For This WeekendA Flood Watch is in effect for South Florida through Saturday as strong thunderstorms are expected. The National Weather Service has also advised a Flash Flood Warning is possible.
Motorist are urged to use caution and seek an alternative route to avoid traveling on flooded streets and pedestrians are reminded to avoid wading through floodwaters.
All pumps are operational and ready for the storm event. City staff has been cleaning catch basins and storm drains and encourages residents to help ensure water can flow freely into the basins and drains.

Facial coverings help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and help keep you and those around you safe. Facial coverings are in addition to, and not a substitute for, the required social distancing. Broward County Emergency Order requires facial coverings for all persons in an establishment, including members of the public, and when physical distancing requirements cannot be maintained outside. Absent an express exception, facial coverings must be worn by:
- All persons obtaining services at City facilities including City Hall.
- All persons while outside their residence, when physical distancing cannot be maintained.
- All persons while visiting or using an amenity (park, pool, beach or any leisure/ entertainment area of a multi-family housing or residential facility including pool, community room, athletic court) when physical distancing (6') cannot be maintained.
- All persons at an establishment (retail, commercial, government, charity, non-profit, business, organization) including entering, exiting, and when moving around, regardless of physical distancing.
- Workers in any establishment or amenity, regardless of physical distancing.
- All persons visiting or using a common area of a multi-family housing including reception area, hallway, elevator, regardless of physical distancing.
- All persons are required to wear facial coverings at all times while using or visiting a gym or fitness center, except when actively exercising.
- All other persons required to wear facial coverings under Broward County Emergency Order

The City of Hallandale Beach remains in a phased partial reopening of our public spaces. In addition to Phase One Park openings for passive recreation, the Tennis and Racquetball Courts at OB Johnson and Peter Bluesten Parks remain open Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.
The Dog Park at Joseph Scavo Park hours are 7-9am and 4-6pm daily except Wednesdays. Staff will be onsite during open hours to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations.
The City Beach is open with social distancing restrictions for visitor’s safety. Save time and download our mobile Pay-By-Phone parking app. Meters will be strictly enforced. Please remember, the beach and South City Beach Parking lots close at dark.
