The sandbag distribution is over

The City of Hallandale Beach sandbag distribution for Hurricane Isaias started this morning at 9 am and has now come to an end. All sandbags were given out to residents and business owners.

If you need sandbags to protect your property from flooding but were not able to get them from us before we ran out we suggest you purchase bags and play sand from a home improvement store. Taking sand from the beach is illegal and thus you should not be filling sandbags from beach sand.

We owe a huge thank you to the Big Easy Casino for allowing us to carry out this distribution on their property. Additionally, we owe a huge thank you to our City staff who worked this week to pre-fill sandbags for this distribution to keep it socially distant and running smoothly.
