New Emergency Order

Due to a dramatic increase in the number of positive cases in Broward County, a new Emergency Order has been issued by Broward County prohibiting in-person dining and beverage consumption between the hours of 10pm and 5am. In-person dining, when allowed, is limited to parties of 6.

The new order also restricts vacation rentals to registered guests only, and increases the penalty for non-compliance for all establishments.

Bars, pubs, hookah bars, night clubs, breweries, billiard halls and clubs, banquet halls, cocktail lounges, cabarets, adult entertainment establishments, (indoor) movie theaters, and hot tubs are required to remain closed.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the compliance process by reporting violations to
MyBroward. Enter the location of the violation, and select “COVID-19 Business Complaints” as the Type of Issue. You can also call the Broward County Call Center at 311 or (954) 831-4000. Both types of reports can be made anonymously.

Hallandale Beach Code Enforcement can be contacted at
CodeIssue@CoHB.org or (954) 457-1390.

The order also requires face coverings for all persons in common areas of multi-family housing.
