The City of Hallandale Beach continues to be under a state of emergency and is taking all necessary measures for the health and public safety of the Hallandale Beach community.

The safety of our residents and businesses is very important during this time. We thank you for your continued patience, cooperation, and engagement.  Below are relevant updates:

• The City of Hallandale Beach is under Emergency Declaration 20-2 issued on March 17th which includes a restriction for on-premise food and beverage service allowing for delivery and take out services only, the closing of all gathering/ entertainment facilities including bowling alleys, playhouses, arcades, gymnasiums or fitness centers with some exceptions, and continuing the prohibition of gatherings of any type of 250 or more people, beach closures, and cancelation of all City meetings, events, programs, and services until further notice.
• Florida Governor DeSantis released today Executive Orders 20-70, 20-71 which emphasizes similar restrictions the City already has in place.  There have been no Executive Orders implemented yet within the City that require closures of non-essential businesses. City administration urges all constituents to follow the latest CDC guidelines.
• Please do not flush sanitation wipes down the toilet. These clog City pipes and will cause service interruptions. 
• Police, Fire Rescue, Trash services continue to operate as normal.
• The Minibus remains operating under normal schedule.  Additional enhanced cleaning procedures are performed frequently to maintain a safe environment for riders.

• Broward County Libraries, including the Hallandale Beach Branch, will be closed starting Friday, March 20, 2020, until further notice.
• ALL Park Facilities, including Parks, Centers, Pool, Cemetery, and the Beaches, will remain closed until further notice.
• Police staff continue to monitor the beach area and turn away anyone that is within the beach area as it remains closed.
• All events hosted by the City for the month of March and April are postponed until further notice. This includes all advisory board meetings. 

• There is a moratorium on water utility shut-offs for residential homes until further notice.
• The IRS has announced a new deadline for filing your federal taxes of July 15, 2020.  Please click here for more information from the IRS.

• Drive through testing opened at CB Smith Park in Pembroke Pines.  Testing is only for health care professionals, symptomatic seniors, and symptomatic residents who are immune-compromised.   You must bring an ID.   Click here for more information.

• The City has established a dedicated hotline (954) 457-1489 for any questions you may have about City Operations or Corona Virus Outbreak.  Staff will be available from 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday to answer your questions.
