City Manager's Telephone Town Hall Meeting

Our City Manager, Greg Chavarria will host a live Telephone Town Hall meeting today, February 25, 2020, starting at 6:00 p.m.

The City Manager will be taking your questions and sharing important information about city services and plans to address quality of life issues, including this year's budget.

There’s no need for you to come to City Hall to participate. City Hall will come to you via a phone call by signing up here.

Citizens' Government Academy

The Citizens’ Government Academy is a free, multi-week program to familiarize residents and business owners with the City of Hallandale Beach government.

The Program will offer participants informational seminars that will offer hands-on activity, speakers, participant discussion, and networking opportunities.

Session 3 will focus on the functions of the Police & Fire Rescue Services Departments

Sessions will be held from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Commission Chambers, City Hall, 400 S. Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009

** Participants who attend 6 of 7 sessions will receive a graduation certificate and will be recognized by the City Commission during a meeting.*

HB Budget Meeting

The purposes of budgeting are resource allocation, planning, coordination, control, and motivation. It is also an important tool for decision making, monitoring business performance and forecasting income and expenditure. With proper budgeting, limited resources are managed efficiently.

Have you seen the newly planted Beach Dune?

On February 22, 2020, a group of over 60 volunteers (mostly students) came together to re-plant a 2,500 square foot section of our beach dune system! Together we planted over 2,000 sea oats and other native frontal dune plants! This project was made possible by a grant from Broward County and a partnership with Youth Environmental Alliance!
