City Commission MeetingJoin the City of Hallandale Beach as we hold our regular scheduled City Commission Meeting on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 5:30 PM in the City Commission Chamber located at 400 South Federal Highway Hallandale BeachFL33009. This is a great opportunity to give your input on current topics and to learn what the City is doing to continue to move forward. Attending meetings will provide you with deeper insight into the workings of local government, including how proposals move down the pipeline (or don’t) and how the various departments interact with one another. In addition, you get the chance to hear in-depth prospects of others in the community.
One person can only do so much, but as a community, we can do the impossible!

Two Days, Three Great Events!The HBCRA has partnered with the South Beach Food and Wine Festival (SOBEWFF) to host three signature events in Hallandale Beach. The three signature events are as follows: - Foodie Movie Night hosted by world-renown baker Jacques Torres on Friday, February 21, 2020, at 7 pm at Peter Bluesten Park. You will be able to enjoy baked goods by Mr. Torres, wine, drinks, and food from approximately six (6) food trucks.
- A wine, food, art, and music festival called Food and Groove, will be hosted by the HBCRA on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Gulfstream Park from 1-4 pm. This event which will take place beneath the iconic Pegasus statue was specially created to highlight and promote to the world, the food from at least thirty (30) of Hallandale Beach’s finest restaurants and caterers in one location. You will be able to enjoy wine, music, and art while being introduced to the amazing food that can be found here in Hallandale Beach.
- Foodie Movie Night hosted by Valerie Bertinelli on February 22, 2020, at 7 pm at Bluesten Park. You will be able to meet Ms. Bertinelli and enjoy wine, drinks, and food from approximately six (6) food trucks.

Dune Planting!Join us on Saturday, February 22nd from 8 AM to Noon at South City Beach Park to re-plant our dune system with native plants! Tools will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle, wear closed-toed shoes, and wear sun-protective clothing.
Volunteer hours are available for students.
In the days leading up to the event, the City will have a contractor on site removing invasive vegetation. This project is made possible by a $5,000 grant from Broward County for dune restoration and a partnership with the Youth Environmental Alliance.

Community Litter Clean-UpVolunteers are welcomed to help pick up litter along NE 14th Ave and Atlantic Shores Blvd on Sunday, February 23, 2020, from 8 am - 9:30 am. Garbage bags, reusable buckets, biodegradable gloves, and pick-sticks will be provided. Park and meet at Scavo Park.
Attendees must wear closed-toed shoes and bring their own water. Wearing sun-protective clothing or reef-safe sunscreen is strongly encouraged.
This is one clean-up in a series of regular community litter clean-ups, which will rotate to each quadrant of the City. The days of the clean-ups with alternate Saturdays and Sundays to ensure members of the faith-based community may have opportunities to participate.

City Manager's Telephone Town Hall MeetingOur City Manager, Greg Chavarria will host a live Telephone Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at 6:00 p.m.
The City Manager will be taking your questions and sharing important information about city services and plans to address quality of life issues, including this year's budget.
