Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces

The Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces (PROs) Department proudly maintains, operates, and programs eighteen park facilities while coordinating fun-filled City-wide special events throughout the year.  There is something for everyone in Hallandale Beach Parks!

Public landscaping throughout the City, from medians to parks to public spaces, is the responsibility of our Landscape team.  If it grows - call the PROs!  We are proud to be at Tree City USA for the 32nd year!  Public fountains throughout the City are also maintained by our department.

Check out our City Marina
; Golden Isles Tennis Center; Historic Village home of the Curci House as listed on the National Register of Historic Places; and our community parks including the Cultural Community Center, home of the Parks and Recreation's Administrative Office.

We have almost completed the Parks Master Plan initiative to improve all City parks.  On the November 4th, 2014 ballot, the Hallandale Beach Voters approved, by an overwhelming majority (65%), to issue $58.5 million General Obligation Bonds (GO Bonds) to complete the Parks Master Plan Improvements.
Our Parks are governed by Park Ordinance 2015-08
