City Manager’s Office
The office of the City Manager coordinates, implements and evaluates all policies, procedures, protocol and programs, in accordance with City codes adopted by the Commission.
City Attorney’s Office
The City Attorney’s office provides in-house legal advice to the City Commission, City Manager and all City departments and represents the City in legal proceedings.
City Clerk
The municipal clerk is an important an exacting position in municipal government. Under both state law and local ordinances, the municipal clerk is entrusted with numerous and diverse duties.
Community Redevelopment Agency
The Hallandale Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) was created in 1996 to redevelop and improve the CRA area.
Development Services
The Development Services Department strives to provide quality service to residents and business owners as well as developers and contractors doing business in the city.
Finance
The Finance Department is responsible for the financial management and planning of the City.
Fire Department
The Hallandale Beach Fire Department strives to develop a safety oriented community. The department is made up into five divisions: Administration, Operations, Training & Professional Development, Emergency Medical Services, and Fire Prevention & Public Education Divisions.
General Services and Purchasing
The General Services Department administers and oversees all purchasing, warehousing and inventory control of all stored materials for the city.
Human Services
The Human Services Department was established to provide social services to the residents of Hallandale Beach, Florida.
Information Technology
The I.T. Department is responsible for all computer technology used throughout the City. All computer hardware and software purchases and maintenance, in-house programming and computer training are coordinated through the I.T. Department.
Parks and Recreation
The Department of Parks and Recreation oversees the maintenance of park facilities, creation of recreation programs and provision of special events.

In order to ensure an optimal experience for its employees, the City of Hallandale Beach’s Personnel Department is responsible for maintaining a competent and motivated work force
Police Department
The Hallandale Beach Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency that employs sworn and civilian personnel. The department is comprised of professional, dedicated employees who work within a number of diverse divisions throughout the department.
Public Works Department
The Department of Public Works provides multiple services: These services include: Landscape/Grounds and street maintenance; sanitation collection and recycling; and maintenance of City buildings and vehicles.
Risk Management
The Risk Management Department is responsible for maintaining insurance on City owned property, administering the City’s self-insured general liability program, controlling the City’s Workers’ Compensation expenses, obtaining appraisals/adjustments of property damage claims involving City vehicles, and timely renewal of bonds.
Utilities & Engineering Department
The Department of Utilties & Engineering coordinates water plant activities for water production, treatment and dsitribution. This department also ensures the sanitary collection and disposal of wastewater throughout the City. Many of the departments' activities are performed under the supervision of the Engineering Division which offers technical and field support.
