SUBJECT:      Certificate of Achievement of Excellence in Financial Reporting for

                           Fiscal Year Ended September 30, 2007 and the Distinguished Budget

                           Presentation Award for 2008-2009 Budget

The City of Hallandale Beach has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 23^rd consecutive year.  The Distinguished Budget Presentation Award has been received for the 22^nd consecutive year.

The Finance Department has made arrangements with the regional spokesperson for the Government Finance Officers Association, Ms. Georgina Rodriguez, to present the above-mentioned awards at the City Commission Meeting of October 21, 2009.  Accordingly, we have requested a time certain for the presentation, which should last about five minutes.
