SUBJECT:     Resolution Supporting a Temporary Tax Exemption for US Service Men/Women While Serving Overseas Active Duty CAD# 008/09

PURPOSE:

The City Commission adopts a resolution supporting a temporary Tax Exemption for US Service Men/Women while serving overseas active duty.

DISCUSSION:

On August 19, 2009, Mayor Cooper briefed the City Commissioners on supporting a temporary tax exemption for US Service Men/Woman serving overseas. City Attorney was directed to prepare a resolution and bring back for Commission adoption.

RECOMMENDATION:

The City Commission adopt the Resolution on September 16, 2009. Attached please find a copy of the proposed Resolution.
