SUBJECT:     An Ordinance of the City of Hallandale Beach, Florida, Amending the Land Use Element of the City’s Comprehensive Plan by Changing the Land Use Designation of the Property Located at 112 NW 3 Ave from Residential, Low-Medium Density to Residential, High Density; Providing for Conflict, Severability and an Effective Date (Second Reading) CAD#021/08                                                                                                                                                                                   

PURPOSE

 

To  adopt on Second Reading an Ordinance amending the Land Use Element of the  City Comprehensive  Plan by changing  the land use designation of the property located at 112 NW 3 Ave from Residential, Low-Medium to Residential, High Density.

 

BACKGROUND

 

The City’s Commission at their April 15, 2009 meeting approved the attached Ordinance on First Reading.

 

DISCUSSION

 

No changes were made to the Ordinance at First Reading. The Ordinance was advertised and posted in according to State and local Ordinances. The courtesy notice was mailed to all property owners within a 1000 foot radius on May 26, 2009 and the advertisement was published in the Sunday May 24, 2009 Miami Herald.

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

Staff recommends the City Commission adopts the attached Ordinance on Second and Final Reading.
