SUBJECT: Approval of the Open Space Park Final Management Plan for Foster Park under the Broward County Safe Parks and Land Preservation Bond Land Preservation Program. BP# 022/06 AND CAD# 015/02
PURPOSE
For the City Commission to approve the Open Space Park Final Management Plan (Foster Park Addition OS-033) through the Broward County Safe Parks and Land Preservation Bond Land Preservation Program.
BACKGROUND
The Foster Park Addition (Site Id OS-033) is located in the City of Hallandale Beach, on the northwest corner of Northwest Sixth Avenue and Foster Road. The site is approximately 0.303 acres of vacant and developed land acquired through the 2000 Safe Parks and Land Preservation Bond Program. Funding for the acquisition of the project site was provided by the Broward County Safe Parks and Land Preservation Bond Program in the amount of $315,523.50.
DISCUSSION
The Final Management Plan is required by Broward County to finalize the grant. The adoption of the Management Plan ensures that the goals and objectives of the Broward County Resolution 2000-1230 and the requirements of the grant are satisfied. The Open Space Park Final Management Plan is attached for your review and comment.
RECOMMENDATION
The City Commission approves the Open Space Park Final Management Plan (Foster Park Addition OS-33) through the Broward County Safe Parks and Land Preservation Bond Land Preservation Program.
