SUBJECT: An Ordinance of the City of Hallandale Beach, Florida, Adopting and Enacting a New City Code; Repealing Certain Ordinances not Included Therein; Providing for a Penalty for the Violation Thereof; Providing for the Manner of Amending Such Code; and Providing When Such Code and this Ordinance Shall Become Effective (Second Reading)

PURPOSE:

To adopt an Ordinance on Second Reading adopting and enacting a new City Code.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:

On March 18, 2009, the City Commission adopted on First Reading an Ordinance adopting and enacting a new City Code. The City Commission made no changes to the Ordinance at First Reading.

The republished Code of Ordinances is anticipated to be completed within 60 days of adoption of the Ordinance attached. All Ordinances subsequently adopted will be placed on the City Website on the City Clerk’s Office page for the public to access. The new Code of Ordinances is attached for your reference.

RECOMMENDATION:

The City Commission adopt on Second Reading an Ordinance adopting and enacting a new City Code.
