SUBJECT:     An Ordinance of the City of Hallandale Beach, Florida, Creating Article XII. Convenience Businesses Section 7-451 Through 7-452, of Chapter 7, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Hallandale Beach, Requiring Defined Convenience Businesses to Implement Security Measures as Prescribed Herein, Providing for Issuance of Civil Notices of Code Violations of Convenience Businesses; Providing for Conflicts; Providing for Severability; and Providing for an Effective Date (Second Reading)

 


PURPOSE:   

 

To adopt on Second Reading an Ordinance creating Article XII. Convenience Business Sections 7-451 through 7-452 of Chapter 7, requiring defined Convenience Businesses to implement security measures. 

 

BACKGROUND: 

 

On March 18, 2009, the City Commission approved the Ordinance Creating Article XII Convenience Businesses, Section 7-451 through 7-452 requiring the implantation of security measures. The Ordinance was approved on First Reading with no changes.

 

RECOMMENDATION: 

 

For the City Commission to approve on Second Reading the Ordinance creating Article XII. Convenience Businesses Section 7-451 through 7-452, of Chapter 7 requiring defined Convenience Businesses to implement security measures.
