SUBJECT:     Consideration of Award of RFI FY2007-2008-002, Red Light Enforcement System, to American Traffic Solutions, Inc. and Discussion of Associated Administrative Policy and Procedures (Staff: Police Chief)(see backup)CAD# 006/07

PURPOSE:

Presentation to the Commission by American Traffic Solutions on their Automated Red Light Enforcement program.

BACKGROUND:

The Red Light Focus Group met with representatives from four Red Light Enforcement vendors.  After hearing the presentations and reviewing the submitted responses to RFI 2007-2008 002, the Focus Group members rated each vendor.  The Focus Group’s preferred vendor with total points of 91.4 out of 100 was American Traffic Solutions (ATS).

DISCUSSION

ATS representatives will be available to answers question regarding their traffic solutions and other related concerns regarding automated red light enforcement.
