SUBJECT: An Ordinance Applying the Planned Development Overlay District to the Hallandale Oasis Property Located at 1100 East Hallandale Beach Boulevard

PURPOSE:

To adopt on Second Reading an Ordinance applying the Planned Development District (PDD) overlay zoning district to the subject property.

BACKGROUND:

The City Commission on April 16, 2008 approved on First Reading the attached Ordinance.  Additionally, the City Commission approved the associated Development Agreement and Major Development application (site plan) including the assignment of 250 residential flex units for the subject property.

DISCUSSION

Attached is the staff report prepared for the First Reading of this item that includes both the policy and technical analysis. 

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends adoption of the attached Ordinance on Second Reading.
